Senior Software Engineer – Oracle ASAP, UIM & CI/CD

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a leading telecom operator in Qatar. The role focuses on Oracle ASAP and Unified Inventory Management (UIM) platforms, as well as designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for high‑availability production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Install, upgrade and configure Oracle ASAP (7.0 to 7.x) on complex WebLogic clusters.
• Set up ASAP for Oracle RAC databases, apply patches and manage OCA client templates.
• Monitor ASAP application and server performance, troubleshoot failed orders and review existing cartridges.
• Design, develop, test and deploy ASAP cartridges using Oracle Design Studio.
• Perform UIM installation, upgrade and data migration, including cartridge development and integration with upstream/downstream systems via SFWS, custom web services and UIM APIs.
• Configure and tune Oracle WebLogic Server, including clustering and scaling.
• Design, implement and manage CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, and maintain source code repositories using Git.
• Integrate artifact repositories and ensure proper version control and branching strategies.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with extensive hands‑on experience on Oracle ASAP and UIM (7.4.x, 8).
• Strong background in telecom provisioning operations for mobile, DSL or VoIP services.
• Solid understanding of telecom network domains (Wireless, GSM, DSL, VoIP) and TMF/eTOM frameworks.
• Proven ability to design logical and physical inventory models and implement rule sets within UIM.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and experience producing high‑quality technical documentation.
