Senior Software Engineer – Oracle OSM, OEP and OEM

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain Oracle Order and Service Management (OSM) cartridges for a leading telecom operator in Qatar. The role involves full‑stack development, integration with OSS/BSS systems and end‑to‑end order lifecycle management.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain OSM cartridges for telecom order workflows, including code build and deployment to development and testing environments.
• Perform OSM version upgrades and data migration, conducting impact assessments and compatibility analysis.
• Collaborate with development, QA and operations teams to streamline DevOps pipelines using Git, Jenkins and CI/CD practices.
• Install, configure and tune Oracle WebLogic Server and integrate it with other middleware components.
• Develop automation plug‑ins (Java), XQuery transformations and SOAP APIs for order capture, decomposition, orchestration and completion.
• Manage integrations with external OSS/BSS systems such as UIM, ASAP, BRM, OEP and CRM.
• Implement notification frameworks, milestone updates and bulk order provisioning modules.
• Use Oracle Enterprise Monitoring (OEM) to configure agents, metrics, incident rules and monitor system health.

Required profile

• Strong telecom network domain knowledge covering Wireless, DSL, VoIP and GSM services.
• Hands‑on experience with Oracle OSM, OEP and OEM tools.
• Proficiency in Java, J2EE, Spring, Apache Camel and XML technologies (XQuery, XPath, SOAP).
• Experience with shell scripting, Git repository management and Jenkins for build and deployment.
• Ability to analyse, debug and resolve order fallout and perform impact assessments.
