Senior System Engineer – Systems Engineering Lead

About the role

Belay Technologies is looking for a Senior System Engineer (SE3) to join its intel team. You will translate user requirements and high‑level architectures into detailed system specifications, guide design and development, and ensure technical integrity across the program.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements, concept of operations, and system architectures to produce specifications.
• Lead design, development, and integration activities, providing technical leadership.
• Develop system architecture, design documentation, engineering management plans, and test plans.
• Interact with government stakeholders on technical considerations, issues, and conflicts.
• Maintain ultimate responsibility for the technical quality of deliverables.
• Communicate effectively with program personnel, senior executives, and government overseers.

Required profile

• Scrum certification and experience with SAFe/agile ceremonies (sprint reviews, PI planning, etc.).
• Current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph (within the last 5 years).
• Education/experience combination: high school + 12 years system engineering, or Bachelor + 7 years, or Master + 5 years, or PhD + 3 years in a qualified engineering field.
