Senior Technical Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Technical Lead to own end‑to‑end delivery, architecture, and code quality for multiple product areas on our shared microservices platform. You will lead a cross‑functional squad of full‑stack engineers and represent your area in platform‑wide decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a squad of 5–10 engineers (backend, frontend, mobile) through sprint planning, design reviews, PR reviews, 1:1s and performance management.
• Define and own architecture decisions for your product areas while collaborating with other Tech Leads and the Head of Technology on shared platform concerns.
• Set engineering quality standards: PR review criteria, branching discipline, test coverage, migration safety and incident response.
• Translate product requirements into a technical roadmap, break down work, estimate effort, sequence tasks and ship releases.
• Stay hands‑on: write critical code, unblock the team, prototype risky changes and deliver hot‑fixes.
• Run incident response for production issues, conduct root‑cause analysis, write post‑mortems and implement preventive measures.

Required profile

• 7+ years building production web platforms.
• 2+ years leading engineering teams.
• Experience with NestJS monorepos, Next.js App Router (SSR/ISR), strict‑mode TypeScript and modern React (hooks, MUI, Tailwind).
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL at scale, schema design, indexing, query optimisation and Sequelize ORM.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure services (Cosmos DB, AI Search, Container Apps, App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Storage Blob, Front Door) and Azure DevOps Pipelines.
• AI integration experience using Azure OpenAI (chat, embeddings, prompt design, retries/fallbacks).
