Senior Web Developer and Designer

About the role

The Web Developer and Designer is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, securing and continuously optimizing PIH websites and digital platforms. The role combines visual design, user experience, front-end development and back-end knowledge to deliver responsive, accessible, secure and brand-consistent digital experiences, working closely with Marketing, Communications, IT and other business units.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver complete websites, landing pages, microsites and campaign pages from concept and wireframes through coding, testing, deployment and maintenance.
• Create responsive, intuitive designs aligned with corporate brand guidelines, including wireframes, prototypes, design systems and interaction patterns.
• Develop and maintain sites with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, CMS platforms and frameworks, and support server-side functionality, databases, forms, APIs and content workflows.
• Ensure responsiveness, accessibility and compatibility, and run cross-browser, usability and regression testing.
• Monitor page speed, Core Web Vitals, SEO and analytics, and implement on-page and technical SEO best practices.
• Integrate sites with third-party platforms, APIs, CRMs, recruitment solutions and other digital services, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
• Apply secure development practices, compliance with privacy and data-protection requirements, and maintain backups, change records and technical documentation.
• Manage routine content updates, releases, defect resolution and post-launch support, and collaborate with stakeholders and agencies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 to 10 years of progressive professional experience in web development and web design.
• Demonstrated end-to-end website delivery experience, including wireframing, prototyping, development, testing, launch and maintenance.
• Experience with corporate or multi-brand websites is highly desirable.
• Strong portfolio showing responsive design, UI/UX thinking, front-end development and functional implementations.
