SEO Specialist

About the role

The SEO Specialist develops, implements and manages search engine optimization strategies to increase the visibility of the organization's digital platforms. The role covers on-page and off-page SEO, keyword research, technical audits and collaboration with content and marketing teams, and is based in Doha, Qatar.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct keyword research and analysis to find opportunities for content optimization.
• Implement on-page SEO, including metadata, internal linking and schema markup.
• Perform technical SEO audits and work with developers to fix site speed, mobile-friendliness, crawlability and indexing issues.
• Manage off-page SEO, including link-building and digital PR.
• Track, analyze and report SEO performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush or Ahrefs.
• Stay up to date on search engine algorithms, trends and best practices.
• Collaborate with content creators on SEO-driven content strategies and monitor competitors and industry benchmarks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, IT or a related field.
• 2-4 years of proven experience in SEO or digital marketing.
• Currently residing in Qatar.
• Preferred certifications: Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, HubSpot SEO, SEMrush SEO Toolkit, Yoast SEO for WordPress, and Advanced Google Ads.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors and SEO best practices.
• Proficiency with SEO tools: Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and CMS platforms such as WordPress and Drupal.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
