Shipyard Facility & Maintenance Manager

About the role

The Shipyard Facility & Maintenance Manager will lead the maintenance function at Erhama Bin Shipyard in Doha, ensuring both reactive and proactive services for all operational equipment, infrastructure and vessels. The role focuses on maximizing equipment availability while adhering to OEM guidelines and health, safety, environmental and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage a comprehensive maintenance strategy and related KPIs.
• Plan, schedule and oversee all maintenance activities, coordinating with vessel stemming and production schedules.
• Supervise the use of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and maintain accurate records.
• Control inventory levels of parts and materials, ensuring multiple supplier options for critical spares.
• Standardize service and repair procedures, including parts lists for planned maintenance.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing maintenance team.
• Prepare and present performance reports, manage the annual maintenance budget and authorize purchases.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across the department.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing multi‑skilled maintenance teams in an industrial or shipyard environment.
• Strong knowledge of OEM maintenance guidelines and preventive maintenance practices.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and monitor KPIs and manage budgets.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem‑solving skills.
