Shuttering Carpenter

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Shuttering Carpenter to interpret architectural plans, prepare and assemble formwork, and ensure quality and safety on construction sites.

Key responsibilities

• Read and study architectural plans, structural drawings, and shuttering layouts to determine dimensions and shapes.
• Measure, cut, and shape timber, plywood, and steel or system formwork (e.g., Doka, PERI).
• Build sturdy frames and panels capable of withstanding heavy wet‑concrete pressure.
• Install and brace shuttering for foundations, walls, columns, and slabs while ensuring exact levels, plumb, and structural alignment.
• Apply release agents or oils to formwork surfaces to ensure smooth concrete finishes and easy stripping.
• Inspect assembled forms for gaps or defects before concrete pours and follow site safety and PPE rules.
• Safely strip and dismantle formwork after concrete has cured, cleaning and stacking materials for reuse.
