Site Inspector - QA/QC

About the role

Madre Integrated Engineering is looking for a Site Inspector (QA/QC) in Doha to ensure that design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and handover activities comply with contract documents, approved drawings, project specifications, client standards, statutory regulations and the approved Quality Management System.

Key responsibilities

• Review and monitor the contractor's Project Quality Plan, ITPs, method statements and quality procedures.
• Review material submittals, technical submissions and manufacturer documents before procurement and installation.
• Monitor inspections of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and ELV, fire-protection and specialist systems.
• Conduct regular site-quality inspections, identify deficiencies and issue site observations and NCRs, and verify corrective and preventive actions.
• Review Requests for Inspection, material-delivery inspections, factory-acceptance documentation, laboratory test reports, third-party inspection reports, TAB reports and testing and commissioning records.
• Ensure only approved materials and acceptable workmanship are used, and monitor approved mock-ups, sample panels and benchmark installations.
• Verify completion of snagging, de-snagging and punch-list activities before practical completion and handover.
• Participate in quality audits, progress meetings, technical coordination meetings and joint site inspections, maintain quality records and inspection registers, and assist payment-application reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of QA/QC experience in building-construction projects and 5 years in commercial office fit-out or high-end interior projects.
• Proven experience in Design & Build contracts.
• Qatar experience and familiarity with QCS, Qatar Civil Defense and local authority regulations.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification highly desirable; Certified Quality Engineer or equivalent is an advantage.

Required skills

• FAT and SAT, testing and commissioning, TAB, snagging and handover.
• Quality auditing and document control, strong report-writing and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
