Site Traffic Engineer – Roads Operations & Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Site Traffic Engineer to join Egis in Doha. The role focuses on managing traffic flow, improving road safety and overseeing operations and maintenance of the road network.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct traffic flow analyses and develop strategies to reduce congestion.
• Perform road safety assessments and implement improvement measures.
• Design and optimise traffic signal timing and coordination.
• Use traffic simulation software to model scenarios and evaluate performance.
• Develop and maintain Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) for the network.
• Oversee road maintenance activities and coordinate timely repairs and upgrades.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations and recommendations for senior management.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate traffic engineering principles into projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Transportation or related engineering.
• 3‑5 years of experience in traffic engineering with a focus on roads O&M.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Familiarity with local and international traffic engineering standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with traffic simulation tools such as VISSIM or Synchro.
• Competence in CAD software, preferably AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).
