Specialty Beverage Barista – Fitness & Wellness Café

About the role

The Specialty Beverage Barista will deliver a premium beverage experience in a fitness‑focused environment, preparing specialty coffees, smoothies, protein shakes, matcha, and wellness drinks while engaging with members to support their health goals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve specialty coffee beverages, iced coffees, matcha, smoothies, protein shakes and wellness drinks following approved recipes.
• Execute high‑quality latte art and maintain exceptional presentation standards.
• Promote menu items, healthy add‑ons and seasonal offerings to guests.
• Engage with members, providing recommendations aligned with their fitness and wellness goals.
• Maintain consistency in beverage quality, taste, portioning and presentation.
• Operate POS systems accurately and process transactions efficiently.
• Monitor stock levels, support inventory counts and follow FIFO procedures.
• Ensure workstations, equipment and service areas are kept clean and comply with HACCP, food safety and hygiene standards.
• Support opening, closing and daily operational procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a specialty coffee shop, wellness café, fitness club café or premium F&B concept.
• Experience preparing specialty coffees, smoothies, protein shakes and functional beverages.
• Food Safety or HACCP certification preferred.
• Previous experience in a health, fitness or wellness‑focused brand is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of coffee extraction, espresso machines and brewing techniques.
• Advanced latte art and beverage garnishing skills.
• Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling.
• Basic inventory management and stock control knowledge.
• Understanding of HACCP and food safety requirements.
