Steel Structure Superintendent

About the role

We are looking for a Steel Structure Superintendent to lead and coordinate the construction of steel structures on large‑scale oil & gas and power projects. The role will be based on‑site, working closely with subcontractors, construction supervisors, engineering and procurement teams to ensure delivery on time, within budget and to the required quality and HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and control all steel‑structure construction activities performed by subcontractors.
• Maintain interfaces with construction, engineering and procurement disciplines to resolve issues affecting steel‑structure work.
• Review the latest IFC drawings, engineering instructions and method statements and ensure they are applied on site.
• Organise weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors to validate upcoming activities and update the weekly plan.
• Support planning and production control in updating forecasts and schedules for steel‑structure works.
• Allocate daily targets to steel‑structure supervisors and monitor production against the project schedule.
• Communicate any conflicts or required revisions to the execution plan to the project team for prompt resolution.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising steel‑structure construction on complex industrial projects.
• Strong ability to manage subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with budget, schedule and HSE requirements.
• Excellent coordination skills across construction, engineering and procurement functions.
• Ability to interpret technical documents and translate them into on‑site actions.

Required skills

• Interpretation of IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings.
• Understanding of engineering instructions and method statements for steel structures.
• Experience with steel‑structure scheduling and production control.
