Supply Chain Assurance Director

About the role

BSI is seeking a strategic, commercially‑minded leader to shape and scale its global Internal Supplier Audit (ISA) proposition. Reporting to the President of Assurance Services, this permanent role will drive portfolio strategy, innovation and growth while delivering high‑impact supply chain risk solutions to clients worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the global ISA strategy, setting portfolio priorities, growth plans and a multi‑year roadmap.
• Lead the end‑to‑end lifecycle of the proposition, from concept through launch, scaling and optimisation.
• Drive innovation in supply chain risk and assurance services to maintain market‑leading differentiation.
• Partner with regional leaders and sales teams to enable go‑to‑market execution and accelerate adoption.
• Establish strong governance across the portfolio, including prioritisation, investment decisions and performance tracking.
• Engage senior clients, partners and industry bodies to shape market demand and enhance BSI’s external impact.
• Build and lead a high‑performing global leadership team, fostering accountability, inclusivity and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Significant leadership experience in supply chain risk management, assurance or internal audit within complex global environments.
• Proven track record of shaping and delivering commercially successful service portfolios.
• Exposure to product development, go‑to‑market strategy or portfolio governance.
• Strong understanding of supply chain risk, supplier assurance and operational resilience.
• Experience influencing and delivering through global matrix organisations and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to translate strategy into execution with measurable performance outcomes.
• Exceptional communication and executive‑level stakeholder engagement skills.
