Systems Engineer – SecOps

About the role

The Systems Engineer – SecOps will join Fortinet’s Systems Engineering team in Qatar, driving the technical side of the sales process for advanced cybersecurity solutions. You will act as the primary technical liaison for customers and partners, ensuring solutions meet and exceed their security requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all technical aspects of the sales cycle, from RFIs and RFPs to RFQs and proof‑of‑concepts.
• Manage project timelines, coordinate with internal and external teams, and deliver successful POCs.
• Serve as the main technical point of contact for customers and partners, presenting solutions through white‑boarding, technical papers and demos.
• Continuously update knowledge of Fortinet products, competitive landscape and emerging threats.
• Maintain accurate activity and technical information in Salesforce CRM.

Required profile

• Strong aptitude for security technologies across network, endpoint and application domains.
• Experience in a pre‑sales engineering role, handling end‑to‑end technical deal closure.
• Proven problem‑solving ability that contributed to key wins.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build lasting customer relationships.
• CISSP certification is a plus.

• Next‑Generation Firewall (NGFW) and advanced routing/SD‑WAN.
• DevOps and automation tools.
• Public and private cloud environments.
• Advanced Threat Protection (ATP), NOC/SOC, Web Application Firewall (WAF), Secure Email Gateway (SEG), XDR, NAC.
• LAN/WLAN networking.
• Salesforce CRM usage.
