Systems Support Specialist – Ground Services

About the role

Ground Services is seeking a highly motivated Systems Support Specialist to drive digital transformation of airport operations through automation, system optimisation and technology‑driven solutions. The role acts as System Owner and SME for a range of Ground Services platforms, ensuring reliability, performance and compliance across Qatar Airways’ network.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deliver automation initiatives that improve operational efficiency, customer experience and business value.
• Own and support critical operational systems such as Passenger Check‑in, Self‑Service Technologies, IATCI, Weight & Balance, Load Control, Biometrics and regulatory/security platforms.
• Lead evaluation, implementation and rollout of new technologies and system enhancements while maintaining business continuity.
• Monitor system performance, investigate incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and coordinate resolutions with internal teams and vendors.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to capture requirements, develop scalable solutions and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in system support, automation, business analysis or digital transformation within airport services.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements management capabilities.
• Knowledge of system lifecycle management and operational support processes.
