Talent Acquisition Officer (Oil & Gas)

About the role

The Talent Acquisition Officer – Oil & Gas will lead end‑to‑end recruitment for technical, engineering and corporate positions across upstream, midstream and downstream projects. You will build a strong talent pipeline to support current and future initiatives while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with project teams, engineering departments and hiring managers to define manpower needs.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for engineers, project managers, rig staff, maintenance and support roles.
• Source candidates via specialised platforms, industry networks and headhunting.
• Screen CVs focusing on technical qualifications, certifications and relevant project experience (EPC, offshore/onshore).
• Conduct technical and competency‑based interviews aligned with industry standards.
• Coordinate candidate approvals with clients and internal stakeholders for project‑based hiring.
• Ensure compliance with certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, H2S, BOSIET and API standards.
• Handle bulk hiring, compensation negotiations and mobilisation logistics (medicals, visas, deployment).
• Represent the organisation at industry events, job fairs and networking platforms.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of recruitment experience, preferably within the oil & gas sector.
• Exposure to GCC or international recruitment is a strong advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong understanding of upstream, midstream and downstream operations and related certifications.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage high‑volume or urgent project requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with recruitment tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter.
• Experience using ERP systems, preferably SAP.
