Teacher of Business – Pearson BTEC IBCP

About the role

Etqan Global Academy in Doha is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Business to deliver Pearson BTEC Business within its IB Career‑related Programme. The role involves designing and delivering applied business lessons that meet international standards and support student development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality Business lessons aligned with Pearson BTEC specifications.
• Design curriculum units and assessment tasks that engage students and meet Pearson quality standards.
• Support students through internally assessed assignments and develop independent work habits.
• Maintain accurate assessment and tracking documentation in line with internal quality assurance.
• Collaborate with internal QA processes and external standards verifiers.
• Develop students' communication, collaboration, problem‑solving, and enterprise skills through real‑world business experiences.
• Contribute to the wider IB Career‑related Programme and school community.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Economics or related field.
• Recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Business or a related subject, preferably post‑16.
• Pearson BTEC training and standardisation certificate, or willingness to undertake training.
• Understanding of Pearson BTEC assessment, internal QA, and external verification processes.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
• Ability to meet visa requirements for working in Qatar.
