Teaching Assistant

About the role

Nord Anglia Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support teachers at Etqan Global Academy (EGA), an IB World School in Doha. The role involves providing in‑class assistance to ensure every student receives the support they need to thrive in the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP).

Key responsibilities

• Assist class teachers in delivering differentiated learning aligned with IB frameworks.
• Work with individual students, small groups, or whole classes to provide targeted support.
• Prepare resources, materials, and learning environments before lessons.
• Help students access the curriculum, fostering independence and resilience.
• Promote positive behaviour and uphold the school’s behaviour for learning expectations.
• Contribute to monitoring and documenting student progress, including portfolio evidence.
• Support the use of ICT and learning technology in the classroom.
• Participate positively in the wider school community.

Required profile

• A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent (e.g., CACHE, NVQ Level 3).
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant in a school setting.
• Ability to support differentiated learning for diverse abilities and needs.
• Strong cross‑cultural, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Organised, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Experience in an international or IB school is desirable.
