Teaching Assistant – Support Student Learning

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join Compass International School Doha. Working closely with teachers, you will support individual students to achieve high standards of learning across the curriculum in a warm, British‑based international environment. Compass International School Doha, part of Nord Anglia Education, offers a British curriculum from Early Years to Secondary, is accredited by QNSA and a member of BSME.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering lessons and provide one‑to‑one support to students.
• Help children read texts, complete worksheets and set out work.
• Monitor and assess each child’s progress, setting challenging yet realistic targets.
• Maintain clear expectations for behaviour and contribute to a disciplined, orderly classroom.
• Use computers and other resources to enhance learning activities.
• Communicate effectively with students and manage time efficiently.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a learning‑support or similar role.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using computers for educational purposes.
