Teaching Associate / Lecturer in Mathematics (Master's)

About the role

The Science & Math unit at Community College of Qatar is seeking a dedicated Teaching Associate / Lecturer to deliver undergraduate mathematics and statistics courses across its campuses. The position involves classroom instruction, student advising, and participation in curriculum development within an inclusive academic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach foundation and college‑level mathematics and statistics courses, including day and evening sections, using appropriate technologies.
• Prepare lesson plans, assignments, and assessments that align with departmental standards.
• Maintain accurate student records, submit required reports, and hold regular office hours for student support.
• Contribute to course and program development, departmental committees, and community service activities as assigned by the Chair.
• Advise and mentor students, supporting their academic progress and career planning.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field.
• Minimum three years of undergraduate teaching or mentoring experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both Arabic and English.
• Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom.

Required skills

• Proficiency in teaching mathematical concepts such as algebra, analysis, geometry, probability theory, or statistical methodology.
• Capability to use educational technologies for instruction and assessment.
