Technical Analyst, Geology

About the role

ROGII is seeking a junior, tech‑savvy geoscientist with up to three years of experience to join the team as a Technical Analyst. The role focuses on providing outstanding technical support and training for ROGII’s software products, including the StarSteer geosteering platform. You will work closely with clients to deliver demos, trainings, and ensure successful workflow adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical sales and workflow presentations to clients both online and in person.
• Provide onsite support and multi‑day trainings, with travel as required.
• Handle customer technical support via phone and email, including occasional evenings and weekends.
• Support the sales team with engaging technical demonstrations.
• Track client bugs and feature requests, coordinating with product teams.

Required profile

• 4‑year degree in Geoscience or a closely related discipline.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with StarSteer geosteering software (asset).
• Strong knowledge of drilling operations and operations‑geology workflows.
• Familiarity with North American plays and play types (asset).
• Excellent written and spoken communication, with experience creating and delivering presentations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Docs.
