Telecommunications Engineer – Energy Projects

About the role

Técnicas Reunidas is seeking a Telecommunications Engineer to support its oil & gas and emerging energy projects. The role involves delivering technical solutions, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring that telecom equipment and systems meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate, specify, design and select telecom equipment for assigned projects.
• Prepare material take‑offs (MTOs), requisitions and technical tabulations.
• Approve and monitor vendor information, ensuring compliance with technical standards and project deadlines.
• Coordinate requirements with piping, civil, electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, vessels, construction, process and procurement disciplines.
• Maintain project documentation in Documentum and manage VDDRs and requisitions in SPMAT.
• Conduct site surveys, support construction teams on‑site, and resolve engineering issues during execution.
• Lead discussions with subcontractors to define scope and supervise work.

Required profile

• Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of telecom systems and technologies.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Telecommunications Engineer in the oil & gas sector.
