Trade Control Specialist (Import/Export Administration)

About the role

Boeing’s Global Trade Controls Function is seeking a Trade Control Specialist to support its Qatar operations and the wider Middle East region. Reporting to the GTC Senior Manager for the Middle East, Turkey & Africa, the role will ensure that import and export activities comply with local and U.S. regulations while enabling business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to align trade solutions with business objectives.
• Support the Boeing Qatar Import/Export team, including broker management, jurisdiction and classification reviews, and due‑diligence activities.
• Implement and maintain a user‑friendly trade compliance infrastructure, covering processes, monitoring, and training.
• Engage with in‑country regulators to promote a rationalized trade control environment.
• Provide compliance support to Boeing joint‑ventures and partner companies as required.
• Identify trade compliance risks and contribute to enterprise risk‑management reviews and investigations.
• Act as the GTC ambassador in business meetings, advising leadership on trade matters.
• Maintain communication with U.S. GTC colleagues responsible for defense programs in Qatar.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of operational experience in trade controls or customs compliance.
• Working knowledge of Qatari (and preferably GCC) customs regulations.
• Familiarity with U.S. export regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a geographically dispersed team.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
