Training Instructor Supervisor – Armaments

About the role

The Training Instructor Supervisor – Armaments leads the delivery and supervision of both theoretical and practical Typhoon type training at the Qatar Typhoon Training Facility. The role combines curriculum ownership, instructor coaching, and safety oversight to ensure high‑quality aircraft maintenance training.

Key responsibilities

• Act as subject‑matter and curriculum lead for the maintenance technician area, supervising and mentoring Training Instructors.
• Prepare, deliver and assess Type training courses in line with authorised syllabi and the Training Management Information System (TMIS) schedule.
• Coordinate aircraft, equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for practical sessions, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Monitor trainee progress, conduct examinations, and report absences to the Training Manager.
• Maintain training records, airworthiness documentation and ensure compliance with Part 147 MTOE, ITAR, ISO and other regulatory frameworks.
• Identify course deficiencies, propose improvements and support audit responses.

Required profile

• Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Education & Training (e.g., Level 5 Diploma).
• NVQ3/ONC level or equivalent in a relevant aircraft maintenance discipline.
• Minimum 5 years experience supervising and delivering aircraft Type training within a maintenance & support environment.
• Strong understanding of the aviation regulatory framework and Part 147 MTOE.
• Proven ability to coach instructors and manage training resources.
