Training Instructor Supervisor Armaments

About the role

The Training Instructor Supervisor Armaments is responsible for supervising and delivering both theoretical and practical Typhoon type training, as well as assessing trainee performance and evaluating the training system’s effectiveness within the Qatar Typhoon Training Facility.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, coach and mentor Training Instructors, allocate instructional duties and ensure courses are fully staffed and resourced.
• Prepare and deliver Type training courses in line with authorised syllabi, manage examinations, assessments and trainee progress reporting.
• Coordinate aircraft and equipment for courses, enforce safety procedures, PPE use and pre‑use equipment checks.
• Maintain training records, ensure compliance with Part 147 MTOE, regulatory frameworks and the QTTF Quality Management System.
• Monitor and verify the quality of instruction, support continuous improvement and respond to audit findings.

Required profile

• Level 3 or higher training qualification (e.g., Level 3 Award in Education & Training).
• NVQ3/ONC or equivalent qualification in a relevant aircraft maintenance discipline.
• Minimum five years experience in a maintenance & support environment, including at least five years supervising and delivering aircraft type training.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Part 147 Maintenance Training Organisation Exposition (MTOE).
• Understanding of Continuing Airworthiness regulatory framework.
• Familiarity with Quality Management System, ISO standards, ITAR and EaPW compliance.
• Experience using Training Management Information System (TMIS).
• Awareness of Human Factors and Error Management principles.
