Transient Aircraft Services Technician (Secret Clearance)

About the role

The Transient Aircraft Services (TAS) Technician provides aircraft ground handling and servicing at a Qatar installation supporting U.S. Air Force and coalition operations. Working 24/7 in a high‑tempo, austere environment, the technician ensures safe arrival, marshaling, turn‑around and departure of aircraft while complying with all technical orders and safety directives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a ZERO‑harm workplace by following flight‑line safety standards, FOD prevention, tool control and PPE usage.
• Perform aircraft marshaling, parking, positioning, chocking and grounding in accordance with technical orders.
• Execute arrival and departure services, including general ground handling tasks required for aircraft turn‑around.
• Assist with aircraft launch and recovery operations under supervisor direction.
• Conduct operator‑level inspections and servicing of vehicles and support equipment used in TAS operations.
• Maintain strict accountability of tools and equipment and adhere to tool‑control programs.
• Participate in routine flight‑line inspections, remove foreign objects and report safety hazards.
• Complete required documentation such as servicing records, shift logs and inspection checklists.

Required profile

• Ability to work safely in a high‑tempo, austere environment with 24/7 flight‑line operations.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with supervisors, airfield management and team members.
• Willingness to adhere to all technical orders, safety directives and standard operating procedures.
• Possession of a Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one.
