Transportation Specialist

About the role

Join DHL Global Freight Forwarding Qatar as a Transportation Specialist and become the primary point of contact for allocated customers. You will ensure seamless shipment handling from rate quotation through delivery and billing, while providing proactive updates and resolving issues.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with assigned customers.
• Participate in joint sales visits when required.
• Support back‑office and call‑forwarding functions by liaising with clients on order acceptance.
• Proactively inform customers about shipment status, exceptions, and incident resolutions.
• Follow up on spot quotations and contract closures to support customer implementation.
• Perform up‑selling and cross‑selling during inbound calls and forward leads to sales.
• Handle customer inquiries such as Track and Trace requests.
• Review performance reports and distribute them to customers.
• Register and manage all customer complaints, driving solutions directly or through other functions.
• Collect and process customer feedback, ensuring continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with Operations and other departments for smooth shipment handling.
• Escalate issues when necessary and manage relationships with internal and external service providers.
• Monitor performance against agreed requirements and support improvement actions.
