Turnaround Static Engineer – Ammonia Plant

About the role

We are looking for a Turnaround Static Engineer to lead the planning, execution and close‑out of the ammonia plant turnaround in Qatar. The role will coordinate with operations, maintenance, inspection, engineering, contractors and support functions to ensure the turnaround is delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and control of turnaround budgets and cost estimates for static equipment.
• Coordinate work packages, material and resource requirements and ensure readiness for execution.
• Monitor turnaround progress, manage scope changes and resolve day‑to‑day execution issues.
• Conduct risk assessments, implement mitigation actions and ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards.
• Oversee plant shutdown and startup activities, mechanical integrity management and static equipment maintenance.

Required profile

• Minimum 60 months (5 years) of experience in turnaround management for ammonia or petrochemical facilities.
• Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and external contractors.
• Strong understanding of OPEX/CAPEX cost allocation and budget control.
