Workshop Fabrication Supervisor – India Recruitment

About the role

The Workshop Fabrication Supervisor will lead the fabrication and welding teams to ensure safe, high‑quality execution of all workshop activities supporting QatarEnergy LNG projects. This position is part of a recruitment drive targeting candidates in India for on‑site deployment in Ras Laffan North.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise welding and fabrication operations, optimizing resource utilization while maintaining safety standards.
• Ensure all work complies with international codes, Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and company standards.
• Track progress against the bi‑weekly schedule and coordinate activities during normal operations and shutdowns.
• Maintain and periodically test welding equipment, machines, and gas cylinders according to company requirements.
• Conduct Toolbox Talks (TBT) and Job Safety Analyses (JSA) for all tasks.
• Manage consumables and materials to minimise waste and ensure proper documentation for returns.

Required profile

• Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in fabrication or welding within the oil & gas or petrochemical sector.
• Strong knowledge of welding codes and procedures.
• Proficient written and spoken English.
• Computer literacy with MS Office.
• Ability to lead safety talks and hazard identification sessions.
