Youth Development Intern – Gulf Area (Doha, Qatar)

About the role

The Youth Development Intern will support UNICEF's Gulf Area Office in Doha, Qatar, contributing to youth participation, skills development, and peace‑building initiatives. This three‑month internship offers hands‑on experience in programme implementation and coordination with local partners.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in implementing youth participation and engagement initiatives in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports and Youth.
• Support youth skills‑development and transition‑to‑earning pathways projects.
• Prepare background material for the Arab Forum on Youth, Peace and Security.
• Develop and follow up on Terms of Reference for selected youth‑related initiatives.
• Coordinate youth‑focused partnerships, events, and meetings, maintaining accurate records of proceedings.

Required profile

• Current undergraduate, graduate or post‑graduate student interested in youth development, child protection or related fields.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a multicultural environment.
