Accountant – Financial Operations & Reporting

About the role

We are looking for a qualified and detail‑oriented Accountant to support our financial operations. The role focuses on accurate execution, review, and monitoring of financial transactions in line with approved policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify financial disbursement transactions for accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor expenditures of field offices and partner organizations.
• Provide financial guidance on accounting transactions and processes.
• Review monthly and annual trial balances, verify account balances, and ensure proper posting and reconciliation.
• Control expenditures and ensure adherence to internal controls.
• Prepare financial, accounting, and management reports as required.
• Approve accounting documentation within delegated authority limits.
• Coordinate with banks for transfers and account updates.
• Perform monthly closing activities and submit reports on time.
• Track financial transfers, confirm receipt, and follow up on processing.
• Report operational challenges affecting financial transactions and support resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in accounting or finance.
• Proficiency in Arabic and English.
• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of accounting policies, financial procedures, and internal controls.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Experience with accounting and financial management systems.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
