Accreditation Officer

About the role

The Global Accreditation Board (GAB) is looking for a detail‑oriented Accreditation Officer to support the planning, execution and management of accreditation activities across certification, validation, verification and laboratory domains. The role ensures that all processes comply with international standards and GAB’s internal management system.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule assessments in line with GAB standards, policies and procedures.
• Maintain the documented management system to remain compliant with ISO/IEC 17011.
• Manage assessment records and coordinate invoice generation for completed assessments.
• Oversee accreditation workflows to guarantee timely and efficient processing.
• Follow up with clients and assessment teams on pending actions, delays and schedules.
• Participate in assessments when required, provided the necessary competence and qualifications are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum five years of relevant professional experience.
• At least two years of industrial experience and three years in conformity assessment within a certification or accreditation body.
• Strong understanding of industrial processes and operations.
• Familiarity with international conformity assessment standards and ISO requirements related to accreditation, certification, validation, verification and laboratory accreditation.
• Excellent written and spoken English; working knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
• Lead Auditor training or certification is highly desirable.
