Application Engineer – AVEVA System Platform (SCADA)

About the role

Avanceon is seeking a detail‑oriented Application Engineer to join its Qatar operations team. The role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and commissioning SCADA and HMI applications for industrial automation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop User Requirement Specifications (URS) and software/hardware design specifications.
• Design, develop, implement, test, and document SCADA and HMI logic/scripts.
• Create validation and testing protocols for SCADA systems.
• Specify and procure required software licenses.
• Assist in estimating project man‑hours and execution requirements.
• Install, test, commission, and start up SCADA systems at client sites.
• Provide training to operators and engineers on SCADA platforms.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation in line with project standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering or Computer Science.
• 2–4 years of experience in SCADA system development and implementation.
• Hands‑on experience with AVEVA System Platform and FactoryTalk View SE.
• Experience with GISIZE Geospatial Module.
• Understanding of industrial automation systems and communication protocols is a plus.
• Valid Qatari work visa/NOC preferred.
• Available for immediate joining.
