Aquatics Training Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Aquatics Training Supervisor to lead our aquatics training program at Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island North in Lusail, Qatar. The role combines staff leadership, curriculum development, and strict water‑safety oversight to deliver high‑quality aquatic experiences for guests and participants.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage aquatics training staff, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Develop, implement, and update aquatics training programs and curricula aligned with organizational standards.
• Ensure strict adherence to water safety protocols, facility regulations, and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to maintain staff competency and certification.
• Monitor instructor performance and provide feedback for professional development.
• Maintain detailed records of training programs, participant progress, and staff certifications.
• Coordinate with facility management to ensure optimal maintenance and equipment functionality.
• Organise and oversee special aquatics events, competitions, and community programmes.
• Conduct safety audits and risk assessments, addressing potential hazards.
• Communicate program updates and concerns to participants, staff, and management.
• Manage training budgets and resources efficiently while maintaining program quality.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in aquatics instruction, coaching, or training.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team‑management experience.
• Current certification as an Aquatic Instructor (or equivalent) and Water Safety Instructor.
• Lifeguard certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Strong knowledge of water‑safety protocols, emergency procedures, and risk management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Physical ability to demonstrate aquatics techniques and assist participants in the water.

Required skills

• Proficiency with program scheduling software.
• Experience using facility management systems.
