Art Handling Technician

About the role

The Art Handling Technician ensures the safe handling, packing, transport, installation and de‑installation of artworks for Syndicate Group in Doha. The role involves preparing pieces for shipment, performing condition checks, maintaining accurate documentation and collaborating closely with logistics and customs teams.

Key responsibilities

• Pack, crate, install and de‑install artworks using appropriate conservation‑grade materials.
• Conduct condition assessments and label items clearly before shipment.
• Coordinate shipment schedules with logistics partners and support customs clearance procedures.
• Maintain clean, secure workspaces and adhere to health‑and‑safety and conservation guidelines.
• Assist with inventory management, tracking, and record‑keeping in storage areas.
• Occasionally work on‑site at client locations, galleries or exhibition venues.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in art handling, museum, gallery or art logistics environments.
• Knowledge of basic artwork conservation, safe handling of high‑value items and customs documentation.
• Strong organizational abilities to manage inventory, maintain records and label items accurately.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
• Ability to work on‑site in Doha, with flexibility for occasional outside‑standard hours.
• Filipino nationality preferred, valid QID and transferable visa required.
