Assistant Store Manager – Retail

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) supports the Store Manager in driving sales, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring operational excellence at Watsons in Qatar. This role combines financial oversight, commercial execution, and process management to meet profitability and KPI targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and evaluate store sales performance, propose strategies to achieve targets, and facilitate monthly category sales meetings.
• Execute promotional programs, monitor exclusive product performance, and provide feedback on effectiveness.
• Control store expenses, maintain shrinkage within tolerance, and oversee inventory adjustments, including GAP and cycle counts.
• Ensure visual merchandising standards, timely restocking, and accurate inventory management.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints, promote loyalty programs, and drive conversion through selling techniques.
• Support the Store Manager in applying brand standards, grooming guidelines, internal controls, and loss prevention measures.
