Associate Accountant

About the role

The Associate Accountant will support day‑to‑day finance operations for Qatar’s QFAB yard, handling billing, treasury support and liaison with the global finance team. This role is central to month‑end closing, cash‑flow forecasting and audit preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end closing and prepare related financial reports.
• Generate QFAB billing, track invoices and provide transactional support.
• Assist accounts payable, cash‑flow forecasting and resolve related issues.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Prepare MIS reports for Qatar operations.
• Perform ad‑hoc finance activities as required.

Required profile

• Graduate or professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA) with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with teams in Qatar, Dubai, Saudi Arabia and JV partners.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, look‑ups, conditional formulas) and ability to write simple macros.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Power BI (bonus), Hyperion HFM, Hyperion Planning and Smartview (good to have).
