AV Engineer

About the role

The Ned Doha is looking for a skilled AV Engineer to oversee all audio‑visual systems across the hotel, ensuring flawless operation for guest areas, event spaces and back‑of‑house facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain AV equipment in guest rooms, meeting rooms, conference venues and public areas.
• Provide technical support for conferences, live performances and other events.
• Diagnose and resolve AV faults quickly and efficiently.
• Carry out regular inspections, preventive maintenance and system upgrades.
• Coordinate with external vendors for repairs and enhancements.
• Maintain accurate documentation of configurations and service records.
• Ensure all AV installations comply with operational and safety standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Audio Engineering, Electronics, IT or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on AV engineering experience, preferably in a hospitality environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Flexibility to work outside regular hours according to event schedules.

Required skills

• Experience with Biamp Tesira systems.
• Knowledge of Bose amplifiers.
• Proficiency with Bluestream switchers and processors.
• AV signal routing, DSP configuration and audio tuning.
• Control‑systems integration.
• Understanding of digital and analog audio technologies.
• Basic networking concepts related to AV.
• Ability to read AV schematics and wiring diagrams.
