Banquet Coordinator

About the role

The Banquet Coordinator will act as the primary liaison between the group coordinator/host and the hotel’s food‑and‑beverage team to ensure seamless execution of banquet events. This full‑time, onsite position is based in West Bay, Doha, and supports the St. Regis brand under Marriott International.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with the group coordinator/host before each function, introduce team members, and confirm all arrangements.
• Read and analyze the Banquet Event Order to capture guest details, setup requirements, timelines, and special requests such as buffets or action stations.
• Coordinate and follow up on any special banquet arrangements to ensure compliance with guest expectations.
• Maintain compliance with company safety, security, and uniform standards.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, and provide courteous, professional assistance.
• Communicate clearly with internal teams and answer telephone inquiries using proper etiquette.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 lb, moving equipment, and navigating stairs or uneven surfaces.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant banquet or food‑and‑beverage experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work flexible hours and stand for extended periods.
