Barista – Full-time position

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Barista to join our team at The Ritz‑Carlton Doha. The role involves delivering high‑quality coffee and beverage service while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Perform opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies, cleaning equipment, and securing the premises.
• Take guest orders, enter them into the MICROS POS system, and prepare coffee and other beverages.
• Operate cash register, handle payments, provide change, and reconcile cash at the end of each shift.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, coffee cart, tables, dishes, and equipment throughout the shift.
• Ensure coffee makers and related appliances are turned on/off as required.
• Follow all company safety, security, and uniform policies.
• Provide courteous service, assist guests with disabilities, and uphold the brand’s service standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior experience required; entry‑level candidates are welcome.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift objects up to 25 lb for the duration of a shift.
• Good visual acuity for reading small print and inspecting equipment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MICROS point‑of‑sale system.
• Cash handling and basic arithmetic.
• Preparation of coffee and specialty beverages.
