Barista

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Barista to join our coffee service team at Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island North. The successful candidate will prepare high‑quality coffee and beverage offerings while delivering friendly, professional service to our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and smoothies.
• Greet guests, provide menu recommendations, and answer questions about the beverage menu.
• Operate and maintain coffee equipment such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewers.
• Follow recipes and quality standards to ensure consistency in every drink.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, workstations, and seating areas.
• Stock and replenish coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies as needed.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with additional tasks as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a barista is preferred.
• Strong guest service and communication abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously.
• Punctual, reliable and a team player.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift items such as milk jugs and coffee bean bags.
• Flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Knowledge of coffee brewing methods and espresso drink preparation.
• Ability to operate espresso machines, grinders and brewers.
