Building Management System (BMS) Operator

About the role

The Building Management System (BMS) Operator ensures that all BMS‑controlled systems across the site operate safely and efficiently. You will monitor HVAC, fire alarm and other critical systems, perform routine inspections, and support energy‑efficiency initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee repair and maintenance activities of all BMS‑controlled systems performed by service providers.
• Conduct routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and carry out minor repairs according to the maintenance plan.
• Operate HVAC, fire alarm and other critical systems via the BMS to maintain safe and efficient performance.
• Adjust system parameters to keep operations within defined limits.
• Record and analyse operational data to support energy‑efficiency improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations and report any incidents immediately.
• Maintain documentation and provide regular performance reports to management.
• Support material selection, procurement and proper handling for maintenance activities.
• Recommend system upgrades and technology improvements for cost savings.

Required profile

• Diploma/ITI in Electrical, Mechanical or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in BMS or facility operations.
• Familiarity with BMS software/platforms and control systems.
• Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
