About the role
KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead its Qatar market activities. You will drive growth by identifying opportunities, building strategic relationships, and guiding the sales process from concept to contract.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct market research and financial feasibility studies to evaluate new business opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and potential clients.
- Identify and pursue market opportunities in upstream, midstream, refining, petrochemical, and energy transition sectors.
- Collaborate with technical teams to create profitable proposals and expand market share.
- Serve as a liaison with KBR business units on cross‑unit opportunities.
- Lead the sales cycle: opportunity identification, proposal development, negotiation, internal approvals, and contract signing.
- Generate a steady pipeline of requisitions for pre‑FEED, FEED, and EPCM phases.
- Travel up to 50% to meet customers and partners.
Required profile
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Engineering, Business or a related field.
- 15+ years of industry experience with at least 10 years in Middle‑East business development.
- Proven track record selling capital‑project solutions and program‑management services.
- Deep knowledge of upstream, midstream, refining, petrochemical/chemical, energy transition, and process services markets in MEA.
- Strong understanding of operational execution in the oil and gas sector.
- Ability to work in compliance with KBR’s Code of Business Conduct, QHSE, and sales policies.
