Business Planning Officer

About the role

The Business Planning Officer supports the Strategy and Business Planning Manager in shaping MCQ’s annual business planning cycle. The role ensures that plans are aligned with corporate strategy, monitors execution, and delivers data‑driven insights for senior management decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and oversee annual business plans, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
• Facilitate cross‑departmental discussions to harmonise plans with the company’s vision.
• Collaborate with Strategy & Data Analyst to produce data‑driven insights and recommendations.
• Identify risks to business plans and work with Department Directors on mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with the PMO to track project progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Assist in financial forecasts, budgeting and market analysis.
• Create and maintain business models to support strategic decisions.
• Evaluate initiatives and investments for long‑term alignment.
• Present strategic plans and business cases to senior management.
