CAD Operator

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced CAD Operator to support engineering and construction teams on road and infrastructure projects in Qatar. You will translate conceptual designs into precise technical drawings, ensuring compliance with client standards and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed AutoCAD drawings, layouts, and plans for roads, utilities, and related infrastructure.
• Convert engineers' sketches and mark‑ups into clear technical documentation.
• Update existing drawings to reflect design changes, site instructions, and as‑built conditions.
• Coordinate with site teams to align drawings with actual site conditions and construction progress.
• Maintain organized drawing records, ensuring proper storage, indexing, and accessibility.
• Assist in preparing construction documentation, shop drawings, and as‑built drawings.
• Collaborate with civil, structural, utilities, and other engineering disciplines to produce coordinated drawings.

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• At least 7 years of CAD drafting experience on construction projects, with a minimum of 4 years focused on roads and infrastructure.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, civil layouts, cross‑sections, and standard details.
• Fluent written and spoken English with good communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with BIM environments and other CAD tools (advantageous).
• Strong computer literacy and experience with design software file‑management systems.
