About the role
The Capability Development Supervisor will support the rollout and ongoing application of SPIE Global Services Energy's Competency Management Framework across the organisation. The role ensures that technical competency models are built, assessed, and translated into targeted learning actions to strengthen the company's technical workforce.
Key responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the Competency Management Framework organisation‑wide, providing guidance on interpretation and application.
- Develop, document and maintain job‑specific technical competency models in partnership with functional teams.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor the technical competency assessment cycle, acting as assessor or moderator as needed.
- Analyse assessment results to identify gaps, strengths and development priorities, and produce competency reports for functional leaders.
- Translate identified competency gaps into actionable learning and development recommendations.
- Serve as the primary reference point for technical competency queries and promote best practices in assessment.
Required profile
- Proven experience in competency management and technical assessment processes.
- Ability to develop and maintain job competency models and proficiency level definitions.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting assessment data and reporting trends.
- Experience collaborating with functional teams to define learning priorities.
- Excellent communication skills to act as the internal subject‑matter reference on competency matters.
