Clinical Terminology Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Terminology Specialist to lead the management and governance of national clinical code sets within the eHealth ecosystem. The role ensures semantic interoperability, maintains data integrity, and supports healthcare information systems through standardized terminology management.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively manage national clinical code sets and terminology standards.
• Perform mapping and governance of clinical terminologies across healthcare systems.
• Maintain and support SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10, and related coding standards.
• Ensure seamless semantic interoperability across integrated healthcare platforms.
• Preserve data integrity within the Master Patient Index and related systems.
• Document processes and coordinate with stakeholders to uphold terminology governance.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in clinical terminology management, healthcare informatics, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Management, IT, Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience managing national clinical code sets and terminology standards.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Experience in the GCC/Qatar healthcare sector is preferred.
• Immediate availability is an advantage.
