About the role
The Commis II will support the kitchen team at Riviera Rayhaan by Rotana Doha, assisting senior chefs in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced hotel kitchen environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, and cutting according to recipe specifications.
- Cook food under the direction of senior chefs, following established recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstations.
- Ensure all food preparation complies with food safety and quality standards.
- Store and rotate food supplies to preserve freshness.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a commis or kitchen assistant.
- Knowledge of various cooking methods and procedures.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
