Construction Superintendent

About the role

The Construction Superintendent will report to the Construction Manager and lead the construction of NFE offshore jacket units in Doha, ensuring they are built safely, on schedule and within scope. This senior position oversees all site activities from construction through lifting and load‑out, coordinating with contractors, engineering and safety teams.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the focal point on‑site for promoting and implementing safety standards.
• Lead the construction team to meet project targets and schedules.
• Assist the Construction Manager in executing project responsibilities for the assigned scope.
• Plan, prepare and manage all construction, lifting and load‑out activities.
• Coordinate site activities and provide technical support to contractors, quality, safety, planning and engineering functions.
• Review, approve and implement contractor construction plans and related submittals.
• Monitor and mitigate construction risks in line with the Risk Management Plan.
• Review on‑shore construction changes and assess cost and schedule impacts.
• Participate in project meetings and mentor trainees on site.
• Maintain a register of lessons learned.

Required profile

• Engineering degree.
• 20+ years of experience in the discipline with at least 10 years in senior engineering roles on major capital projects.
• Extensive experience with EPC contractors, sub‑contractors and vendors in the oil and gas sector.
• Proven ability to work with multicultural teams and worldwide contractor experience, especially on offshore LNG facilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills within a project management team.
• In‑depth knowledge of stakeholder specifications and industry standards.
