Cook I – Food & Beverage

About the role

The Cook I supports the kitchen team by preparing special meals, cold dishes, and daily menu items while maintaining high standards of quality, presentation, and safety. This full‑time position works on‑site at the hotel in Doha, collaborating closely with the Chef and Food & Beverage staff.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, substitute items and cold foods according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters and ensure proper cooking procedures.
• Pull frozen items for thawing, maintain food logs and monitor portion sizes, quality and quantity.
• Communicate assistance needs during busy periods and inform the Chef of excess or out‑of‑stock items for daily specials.
• Follow safety, security and hygiene policies, report any incidents and maintain a clean, professional appearance.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree in culinary arts or related field.
• Minimum three years of relevant kitchen experience.
• Ability to stand, walk and lift up to 25 lb, bend, twist and reach overhead.
• No supervisory experience required.

• Operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, broilers, grills and roasters.
• Food preparation and cooking following recipes and quality standards.
• Maintaining accurate food logs and adhering to food safety procedures.
